Spiced Pear Chia Oatmeal

Serves 1
Ingredients
  • ½ cup gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • Generous pinch of cardamon
  • ½  cup milk of choice
  • ½  cup of water
  • 1 pear cut into quarters
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch ginger
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Optional: 1 tsp crunchy organic peanut butter
  • Optional: 1 tbsp LSA (ground linseed, sunflower seeds, almonds)
  • Optional: drizzle of maple syrup to serve

Method
  1. Add oats, chia seeds, cardamon, water + milk to a saucepan. Cook over low-medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring until creamy.
  2. In a separate small saucepan, add the pear with 1/4 cup of water, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Simmer gently for 10 minutes until soft and fragrant.
•3. Pour oatmeal into a bowl and top with the poached pear and any optionals you so desire.
