(Makes 6)
Ingredients:
6 large fresh dates, pitted
3 teaspoons natural peanut butter (or almond/cashew butter)
Dark chocolate (dairy-free if preferred)
Optional: pinch of dried rose petals or crushed nuts for garnish
Instructions:
Slice each date lengthwise without cutting all the way through to create a pocket.
Spoon ½ teaspoon of peanut butter into each date.
Gently press the sides of each date together to form a heart shape.
Melt and stir until chocolate is smooth and lump free.
Dip each peanut butter-filled date into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip off.
Optional garnish: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle on rose petals or crushed nuts.
Place the dipped dates on a tray lined with baking paper and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate sets.
